1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CrosPath, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms of Service should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using CrosPath, you agree to both documents.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use CrosPath. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

3. User Accounts
When you create an account, you must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any changes to your information
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Identity Verification
CrosPath offers a voluntary multi-level verification system to enhance trust within the community:
- Email verification
- Selfie verification
- ID verification
Verification does not guarantee a user's identity or safety. It provides an additional level of trust but does not replace individual caution.
Any misrepresentation or identity fraud during the verification process is grounds for immediate account termination.
Verification data is processed securely and stored for the duration of your account. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Community Guidelines
CrosPath is built on trust and respect. You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the Service for commercial solicitation
- Share content that is illegal, offensive, or harmful
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Use automated systems to access the Service
6. Activities and Meetups
CrosPath facilitates connections between travelers but is not responsible for:
- The conduct of users during meetups
- The accuracy of activity descriptions
- Any disputes between users
- Personal injury or property damage
Always use common sense and take appropriate safety precautions when meeting new people.
7. Safety Features
CrosPath provides several safety features to protect its users:
- Emergency alerts: an alert system allowing you to quickly notify your trusted contacts of an emergency situation
- Safety check-ins: ability to confirm your safety during activities
- Travel plan sharing: share your itineraries with your trusted contacts
- Real-time location sharing: temporary, user-initiated sharing of your position with selected contacts
CrosPath is NOT an emergency service. In case of immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (112 in Europe, 911 in North America).
CrosPath does not guarantee the safety of in-person meetings. Safety features are supplementary tools and do not replace personal vigilance.
8. Path Crossings
CrosPath uses an algorithmic matching system to identify travelers whose routes cross or overlap:
- Matches are based on travel overlap and shared interests
- Your exact location is never shared through the path crossing system
- You can control your visibility in the privacy settings
- Crossing notifications can be disabled at any time
9. Location Services
The app uses foreground location for its core features:
- An approximate location is shown to other users on the map
- Your exact location is only shared with trusted contacts for safety purposes, and only when you initiate it
- You can control your location visibility in the privacy settings
- Real-time location sharing is always temporary and user-initiated
10. Ephemeral Content
CrosPath offers several types of ephemeral content:
- Shots: disappearing photos and videos that vanish after viewing. Screenshots are detected and the sender is notified
- Stories: content that automatically expires after 24 hours
- View-once messages: messages automatically destroyed after being viewed by the recipient
You acknowledge that ephemeral content may be retained briefly for technical purposes (delivery, processing, legal compliance) before being permanently deleted.
11. User Content & Reviews
You retain rights to content you post. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.
Regarding reviews and ratings:
- Reviews are public and tied to your profile
- CrosPath may remove reviews that violate community guidelines
- Reviews cannot be edited or deleted after a 14-day period
Music content embedded in posts and stories is sourced from third-party services (Deezer). Use of this content is subject to the relevant provider's terms of service.
12. Content Moderation
In accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), CrosPath applies the following moderation procedures:

- Appeal mechanism: if your content is removed or your account is suspended, you may appeal the decision by contacting legal@crospath.app. Appeals are reviewed within 14 days
- Transparency: you will be informed of the reasons for any moderation decision taken against your content or account
13. Block and Report
CrosPath provides you with blocking and reporting tools to ensure your safety:
- Blocking: when you block a user, they can no longer see your profile, contact you, or interact with you in any way
- Reporting: you can report any user or content that violates these Terms or community guidelines
- Report processing: each report is reviewed by our team. Appropriate action is taken based on the severity of the violation, ranging from a warning to permanent account removal

- How to exercise this right: send your withdrawal request to legal@crospath.app including your name, the email address associated with your account, and the subscription date
- Waiver of withdrawal right: if you expressly consented to accessing the Service before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledged that you waive your right of withdrawal, this right can no longer be exercised once the Service has been provided
17. Limitation of Liability
CrosPath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
18. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time.
